A couple of photos are now up in my gallery of the Marathon...
Thursday 17th April 2008
I did it! I actually completed the Flora London Marathon and in 4 hours:30 minutes too, so I'm very pleased with myself. I also had to endure the leg waxing today which, I can tell you, was a bit painful. But at least all that's over with now and I've just about hit the charity target of £2000, so I'm chuffed all round.

First a little update regarding the upcoming London Marathon. Training is going well. I completed 24 miles last Friday, though I was pretty bedraggled by the end of it. Sponsorship is also going well. My target is £2000 and with almost £1300 raised already and a sum promised by the company I work for, it should be no problem. That said, please do give generously if you haven't already. To bump up the funds I'm going to have my legs waxed on the 17th (ouch!) And today I stupidly got my hair dyed white and blue (see the picture down below and more in the gallery). They even did a slot in the local paper - check it out here: The Citizen.
And on to other matters. There was so much junk on this homepage I've decided to trim it a little and also add some photos. Most everything can still be found on the left hand menu, but if you're new to my site, I'll give you a brief idea of where each link takes you...
My Story will tell you more about who I am, but its main focus is to explain why I turned my back on Christianity a few years ago.
Writing is my favourite hobby. I've written 3 fictional novels, one of which I am in the process of trying to get published (The Beasts of Upton Puddle). I'm starting to build up a portfolio of short stories too. You won't actually find much more than a few samples there; it's more like a list of my work.
Funny Stuff is where you'll find my legendary "Fart Machines". Go download them and check them out.
Level Design is an older hobby of mine when I used to enjoy PC game design. This is probably the most frequently visited part of my site where "mappers" still go to look at my tutorials. There's a plethora of stuff there including downloadable maps for Unreal based games, some of which found their way into magazines and even onto shop shelves.
Gallery. A few photos in there, but it's also a place to display another older hobby: art. There you'll find some old paintings and even some encaustic art. What's encaustic art you say? Go and check it out.
Spirituality is where you'll see my most pompous, opinionated, gittish side. I spent a lot of time writing and thinking about Theology, then spent a long time debunking it. Like the Level Design area, this is heavily viewed (an extraodinary amount of people seem to be drawn to the section on the number of the beast!)
Music. Yes, another hobby. In my youth I used to be a sad DJ, scraping up some extra dosh by working in an over 37's nightclub. I occassionally try to relive those days by doing stupid "mixes". Download the mp3 files for a laugh.
