Maps.

Legacy will consist of 11 unique levels, 1 "bridge" level and several cut scenes.
I wanted to do something different that usual here, and so you will find that Legacy can be played out in a number of different ways. You will be able to explore each level, but in almost any order you choose !
Enjoy the adventure.

“Legacy”

This is an intro film showing how the Nali outsmart the Skaarj to strand "Cyberus" on the nearby moon.

“Cat and Mouse”

This is the first map you'll play, and you'll need to use all your tactical brain cells for this one. You start as a military officer, wounded from your recent crash and apparently all alone in a Terran research laboratory. Without a single weapon, you need to find a way to eliminate the malevolent creature that has caused havoc whilst you were laying unconscious and then escape the base and find out what happened.
Your mission starts here. (in the screenshot you can see the Frag Grenade Launcher - probably the first weapon you'll lay your hands on).

“The Nexus”

If you survive the research lab, and escape the building, you will be able to explore the outside environment of the planet. This planet has been a stop off point for many alien species and is currently home for a Nali trading colony. Ancient portals allow restricted access to a number of other worlds and so it became known as "The Nexus". It has also been a base of operations for the Skaarj many centuries ago, it was long since abandonned by them ..... until now !  -You too will find that you must return here on numerous occasions before you're mission is completed.

"Courtyard Stronghold"

Before you even get started on your mission, you learn that the Skaarj are endangering your efforts by trying to gain control of the source of power for all the portals at the Nexus. Should they succeed, your efforts would be in vain and you would be stranded forever. You must stop them, but if they see you, they will destroy the source rather than give up control. You're only hope is to protect the source until it can be moved to safety and eliminate the Skaarj in that area. The sniper rail gun might make your job a little easier. ;-) Oh, and keep an eye on the clock suspended from the above you, it shows you how long you have left.

“The Forgotten Caverns”

In their desperate attempt to thwart the plans of the Skaarj, the Nali had hidden the CardKeys that would operate the Warpgate in secret locations. And even the entrances to these secret locations had been locked! One brave Nali soul took it upon himself to brave "The Forgotten Caverns", a deep underwater chasm, and leave the keys there. The caverns are dark, gloomy and carry a sense of terrible forboding .... no-one has ever returned from there. Inside lie traps, creatures, and tests of endurance to ensure that only a person of the right calibre would survive, but you are not the only one looking for the keys!

"Kalladrad's Halls"

Because the "Forgotten caverns" have been a place where no-one dared to travel, the portals beyond that place were completely unknown. For those that endured the caverns, a greater test awaited them should they wish to prove their heroism. Kalladrad's Hall was created for this very reason but the creators in their wisdom, always allowed safe passage back to the Nexus should they not wish to take the challenge and win a prize. If you had the sense you would do just that, but let's just say ..... that not everything happens the way we'd like it too!

"The Altar of the Sun"

Kalladrad Halls were not difficult without reason. The halls were a proving ground for beings with strong enough and worthy enough character to enter the Altar of the Sun, an ancient place of worship.

“The Tower of Elijah”

No-one knows who the mysterious Elijah was, but this friend of the Nali race left behind a place filled with the power of the mystic. Once again, you must face various trials before reaching your goal. (Pictured here is the Skaarj Pulse Cannon).

You'll find an earlier version of this map called DMElijah.
Someone suggested I make it into an SP level and so this will be it.

"The White Palace"

Named not for its colour but for its purpose. The White Palace was a wondrous place known for its beauty and for the wisdom of its creators. From here one being ruled the known "7 worlds" and governed with integrity and power ... until it was invaded. Now the Nali theatre is a place of cruel torture as taunted beasts are made to fight for their lives as "gladiators". The cellar is now a dungeon where the Nali are tortured until they reveal how to get the KeyCard that has been sealed in the reception hall. You must find a way to get the key before the Krall do!
(In the screen shot you can see me getting flustered as I try and halt one of the dinos with the chain gun ... ooo they move fast !)

“Triaxia”

For many years the Skaarj used Ventar 9 as a military base. They left for three centuries, but now they are back. Deep within the ground, the base is humming with activity as the Skaarj search for a way to recover the keys. Here you can steal the new Skaarj weapon and defeat them on their own ground using the element of surprise, but beware, you'll be back in here, and next time they will be ready for you! (in the shot you can see the new Skorcher).

"MoonHunt"

After landing on the nearby moon through the Warpgate you will begin your search for the deadly "Cyberus" in a strange alien environment, and you will soon discover the terrifying truth as the story continue to unfold.

"Cyberus"

The climatic end level where you must defeat Cyberus and escape from the moon.

"End"
This speaks for itself. A small movie for the ending of Legacy.
