| LEGACY
update by EZkeel - 22nd Nov 2001
After quite a bit of time off the scene with deCyber gone I've uploaded LEGACY on to my site so it's now available again. Just click here to get it. There are now also 3 multiplayer maps released for Legacy 2 of which were made ages ago by Mark Austin. I added a couple of touches to them to add new zones for the orb of healing to recharge too. You can get them from the Download section too. There are a few reviews (quite favourable ones too!) scattered around the net if you want to check out what people think first. LEGACY update by EZkeel - 18th February 2001 UsAaR33 wrote me today to let me know that the Legacy files have been uploaded once again with a small adjustment to the coding that fixes the save/load problems people have been having. If you downloaded Legacy before today and you find that you are having difficulties, please look at out Troubleshooting section to see how you should amend the ini file. This will fix the problem without having to download again. LEGACY update by EZkeel - 17th February 2001 First, before I go any further. Legacy is not for the original Unreal. That idea was scrapped a long while back. Sincere apologies to those of you who downloaded it thinking that it was. Legacy will only work for UT. Second, I'd
like to thank everyone who has mailed me with encouraging feedback and
positive comments about Legacy.
I've also set
up a troubleshooting page that may help you. If you still have trouble
you need to contact UsAaR33 who
knows the code and should be able to help you out.
LEGACY update by EZkeel - 16th February 2001 IT'S HERE !!! That's right, Today is the day when we finally release LEGACY! If you don't know what its about, feel free to browse around the site to get the picture. Legacy has taken about 2 years to reach this point! As I've said before, there isn't 2 years worth of work here, but we had some problems getting the resource to complete it. However, I should tell you that Legacy would not be available to you now if it was not for the persistent hard work and dedication of UsAaR33 completing the code. So, a big THANK YOU is goes out to him. :) ALL of the members of this team have done some great work on this mod, so thanks are very much due to these guys too. THANKS! Now, you've waited long enough. Hop over to the DOWNLOADS section and go get it! In a few weeks we'll have some more goodies for you too for Legacy, namely a bunch of multiplay maps including 2 by Mark "OZ" Austin. NOTE: To ensure
Legacy works properly, it is essential that you look at the README file
included in the zip. UsAaR33 has included some necessary info on how to
install it.
LEGACY update by EZkeel - 29th January 2001 Yesterday was a good day! The final beta is now completed and went out to the beta testers for a final look. My sicere thanks go out to all the team involved, but especially to UsAaR33 who really gotbhis teeth into finsihing the code and was determined to see it through to completion. I've now updated the maps and weapons pages with some more up to date info too. So, at long
last I can now give you a release date for Legacy:
For now also,
you can check out the Nali City forum at the Legacy topic that's started
up again. My "nemesis" David M has begun his flaming campaign :-D. So,
if you want to see what he thinks of it so far and defend or flame Legacy
yourself, you can check that out here:
I'll be the first to tell anyone that whilst Legacy has taken about 2 years to complete, we haven't actually been working on it that long so don't expect 2 years work, I completed most of the level design about 18 months ago! Despite what some people may say, I'm certainly not the best level designer out there but I'm proud of Legacy and feel confident its worth the download and will entertain people. So, if you feel the need to pick it to pieces like master designer David M (hehe), feel free to do so, but just remeber that a lot of work has been put into it by a lot of other people apart from me. And yes, I do listen to people when the criticism is constructive. Keep checking
back and I'll be sure to let you know the moment we release...
LEGACY update by EZkeel - 25th January 2001 Hmmm, apologies to those of you who were expecting to see Legacy released during the Christmas break. Notice that the keyword in my last post was that I was "hoping" to get it released! For a while now I've been reluctant to feed people with a release date due to past set backs and evidently the final tweaks to Legacy took longer than we expected. However, I'm in a position to tell you now that we really, honestly have finished it apart from one tiny adjustment! UsAaR33 is probably putting all the necessary files into a umod as I write this. All that's left to do now is to send it for one last look to the beta testers to make sure a fresh set of eyes don't see any last minute bugs and then boom, we release it. A lot of extra stuff has been added in the last couple of months that only myself and UsAar33 have seen, including a tonne of cut scenes and lots of adjustments to the maps. So, I can at
last confirm that Legacy will be released very soon. If it isn't with you
before the end of February I'll eat my keyboard!

...Why you are here...
Earth government
would never know about the creature "Xerania" and
how you prevented
it from maturing into a creature of horrible power.
But they did
know how you prevented the destruction of mankind
by stirring
up a brief war between the Krall and the Skaarj.
How ironic
that someone once condemned to spend their
life on a
prison ship would now be considered a hero.
Now you are
needed once again for our
...Legacy...
