The Chalculator v1.1 (Short for "Christian Calculator") - File size 346Kb
Anyone studying the
subject of numbers in the Bible should find this a useful tool.
As anyone who has
studied this subject knows, the Greeks and Hebrews used to count using
their alphabet (e.g. A = 1 B =2 C=3 and so on). Any word can therefore
be broken down into its individual letters and "calculated" by adding them
together. The resulting number usually indicates something about the nature
of that word. For example, most words relating to God are multiples of
8 (e.g. "JESUS" in Greek = 888) and words relating to Satan are multiples
of 13 (e.g. "AntiChrist" in Greek = 13 x 127). If you want to know more
about this you'll find out a little more in my study on Eschatology right
here.
I created this tool
so that a user can have a quick and easy way of typing in a Greek or Hebrew
word to find out its numerical value. In addition to this, the Chalculator
can also be used to analyse the resulting number for spiritual significance
as it has a list of the meanings associated with each number (e.g. 8 =
resurrection and new life, 13 = sin and rebellion).
The chalculator
can also be used to create and rearrange words (useful if for some reason
you want a word to add up to a particular number) and it includes a brief
explanaition of Christian Numerology in its reference section.
This program is completely
free. All I ask is that you e-mail
me to let me know that you've used it.
Any feedback would
be welcome.
It is best run at
1024 x 768 resolution (otherwise you probably won't fit the windows on
your screen).
Here are a couple
of reduced sized example screens from the Chalculator.
